Room in Hotel Colosseo

Shkodër is a wonderful city, simply teeming with history, on ther shores of Lake Shkoda.

Rosafa castle in Shkodër was first erected under the Illyrians, in ancient times, but most of the work we can see these days was done under the Venetians, back in the Middle Ages.

Sarande hotels

Sarande is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the Albanian Riviera. Its name derives from the Byzantine monastery Άγιοι Σαράντα (Agioi Saranta), meaning “Forty Saints”.
Sarande is only two nautical miles away from the island of Corfu and very close Butrint, an ancient city and an Unesco World heritage site.

Plenty of hotels to choose from and plenty to see and do.
If you want to splurge a little, we recommend the Butrinti Hotel. It´s the biggest hotel in Sarande, 5 stars and it has everything! Satellite tv, roomservice, elaborate fitness fascilities, a restaurant, great views, the works. Butrinti is one of very few 5 star hotels in the Balkan. It´s a lot more expensive than most of the other places to stay in Albania, but at $80-$150 it´s not that bad actually, and then you do get to enjoy a jetset hotel at an average European price.

Not ready to splurge? Try the hotel Bizanti, it´s clean and very cheap, probably the cheapest place in Sarande, at only about $20-$30.
