When travelling through Albania, it´s a good idea to make a plan in advance. Check out what you want to see (the Ottoman castles? The Greek excavations at Apollonia?) and do (hang around on the beach? Fine dining in Albania´s most famous five star hotel?).
Also, make a travel plan. Albania is lovely and small, and well worth the effort, but getting around can take a bit of planning.
